5 Signs Your Yardi System Needs a Wellness Check

Most property management companies are running Yardi environments that were configured during implementation and haven't been properly reviewed since. Over time, these systems accumulate misconfigurations, outdated permissions, and workflow gaps that quietly cost your team hours every week.

Here are the five warning signs we see most often — and what to do about them.

1. Your Financial Reports Don't Reconcile Cleanly

If your team regularly has to manually adjust figures or can't explain variances between Yardi reports and your general ledger, the root cause is almost always a charge code misconfiguration. Charges are posting to the wrong GL accounts — and they have been for months, possibly years. A wellness check identifies every misrouted code and corrects the mapping before your next month-end close.

2. Former Employees Still Have System Access

User permission audits are the single most overlooked part of Yardi administration.
